39th Street Park is located on 39th Street.  The intersection of 39th Street and Arbogast is about one block South of Ridge Road.  Turn West on 39th Street.

Woodland Park is located at 1500 West Pine Street.

South Park is located at 500 South Griffith Boulevard, south of the railroad crossing on Broad Street, near the Soccer fields.

Cheever Memorial Park is located at 600 North Jay Street, and is North of Wadsworth School.  South of Wadsworth School is 'Cheever Little Park', which includes a tennis court. Cheever Little Park

Hoosier Prairie Nature Preserve is managed by the State of Indiana, Department of Natural Resources.  Great for 'birding' and just to walk the trails, parking is available on Main Street, close to the intersection of Kennedy Avenue and Main Streets.  We've included information on the Hoosier Prairie Nature Preserve since we get information requests and telephone calls from many people who think it is part of Griffith Parks Department responsibility.

Oak Ridge Prairie is managed by the Lake County Parks Department.  The prairie has pavillions for family gatherings and picnics, a fishing pond, and lots of trails.  The entrance to Oak Ridge Prairie is on Colfax Avenue, about a 1/4 mile south of the intersection of Colfax and Main Street.  We've included information on Oak Ridge Prairie since we get information requests and telephone calls from many people who think it is part of Griffith Parks Department responsibility.
